Daniel J. Jurek , M.Min., M.A. is a Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor and Director of the Pax Renewal Center in Lafayette, LA.
A sought after counselor and therapist, speaker, retreat director, consultant and facilitator, Dan has led professional seminars and workshops as well as spiritual retreats at the local, state and national levels.
A Lay Franciscan (S.F.O.), Dan and his wife Jane have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They have 4 children (8-21 years of age). Dan also spent 15 years in Catholic High School Ministry and Education, two years in Catholic Collegiate Campus Ministry and two years as Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Personnel at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Dan has built a unique and diversified professional portfolio. He possesses excellent therapeutic and clinical skills, theological knowledge, pastoral wisdom, professional education and administrative expertise. Dan’s lived-faith experience is formed by his Franciscan spirituality: following Christ in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi.
Dan is the host of “Broken Hearted”, a weekly radio show on Radio Maria, USA, airing Wednesdays from 2:00 pm – 3:00 p.m. (CST)
He earned a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans. He also earned a Masters degree in Christian Ministry and Renewal from the University of Steubenville in Ohio. His Bachelor of Arts Degree is in Theology, also from the University of Steubenville. He also holds a certification in Spiritual Direction.

Melissa LeFort is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) practicing general counseling with individuals, couples, and families. Areas of specialty include adolescents, phase of life issues for women, and couples counseling. Self-exploration is encouraged in the therapeutic process in order to develop improved problem-solving and personal resilience.
Melissa is married to her husband, Zach, and they have one daughter, Claire. Melissa is a Tennessee native but spent many years in Indiana, where she went to college and graduate school. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology at the University of Evansville and her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Ball State University, where she double majored in mental health counseling and school counseling. Melissa currently is also certified as a school counselor in Louisiana and often communicates with school systems, per parental request, in order to provide more comprehensive care for children and adolescents.

Roy Petitfils is a Professional School Counselor and administrator at St. Cecilia Catholic School in Broussard, Louisiana. He previously served as Director of Campus Ministries at St Thomas More Catholic High School, where he also taught Theology and English. Roy’s first book A Practical Guide to High School Campus Ministry (St. Mary’s Press, 2007) has become a valuable resource for administrators, campus/ youth ministers, and teachers in their ministry with youth. Roy served on the Diocesan Pastoral Council (2003-2006) as an advisor to the Bishop on issues regarding young people.
Roy received his B.A. from St. Joseph Seminary College and attended the Pontifical Angelicum University in Rome, Italy where he studied spirituality, ministry and theology. Roy is completing his Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. Roy and his wife Mindi of seven years live in Youngsville with their three year old son Max.
He has spoken to audiences at the local, regional and national levels and is a sought after consultant, facilitator and retreat leader.
Roy’s internationally syndicated column, Our Young Church, affirms, inspires and challenges readers to embrace our younger generations. He is a frequent columnist in The Daily Advertiser on matters of spirituality and faith and has written extensively for Acadiana Mom’s Magazine and The Weekly Advertiser. His second book, What I Wish Someone had Told Me about the First Five Years of Catholic Marriage! (St. Anthony Messenger Press, 2009) is scheduled to be released in June, 2009.
